a new face joins the human fray full of expectation
and his own light filled being leaning into the future
of our uncertain planet unhinged and wobbling on
its trajectory yet he is full of promise and the new

this is no place to begin but still we hope for a right
purpose and a curiosity to fill the emptying and filling
of the shelves on which to place his flame and joy in
what is to be discovered and enjoyed in the fortune of

his destiny to be alive is enough challenge to bring to
life the possible and the new in the season of one being
to forge the light again to mark the tides with pleasure
and to walk the paths with others toward the new day

lurker from the dark lagoon beyond the reach
of eventide no matter in his mists the lunge to
history or presence somehow evades into an
ancient skirting of shadows and cities on map

reserved for other touches on the dark aside
the trail through the mountains to the other
side of light where the nocturnes commit a
detail into the myth and passage beyond this

into other layers on the spirit line which are
somehow not torn or shattered but speak in
tongues of fire wherein days formed like this
foray into a newer unknown self that lives on
