tom taylor

every moment

I go inside to see what’s there, a brightly lighted
place of ordered landscapes colorful and precise in
the music also filling everything as if a motion
in the air a hum of thumps and whistles and deep
tones of function and rhyme fill me with my self

I lean across a fence to see into the deeper realms
of my body’s functioning permissions to be alive
with excitement and balance from all the centers
where love resides at the heart’s center a bright

sign flourishes out into the richly flavored vista
I’m given to see in this moment of entry into a
realm I’d always thought private and mysterious
now I see I’m welcome here and want to stay alive
